Baby #3 Update

I'm 38 weeks. I have one more doctors appointment (tomorrow) and then I get induced next monday. I'm hoping I go into labor sometime this week, but if I don't then at least he'll be here next week. We are so excited. Ize seriously talks about him everyday. I can't wait for them to hold their brother.

My friend Melanie and a friend from church, Tracy, worked together to throw me an awesome baby shower. We know the best people. We have seriously received so much. From diapers to clothes to a pack-and-play and a stroller. Its more than I ever expected. We are so grateful. We have everything set up for him. Now we just need this little guy to make his appearance.

Izebelle's 4th Birthday

I honestly cannot believe Ize is already 4. I saw a quote today that said, "The days are long, but the years are short." Its so very true.

Izebelle is talking a lot and she is more articulate. She has improved so much since she started school a year ago. Ize loves to sing and be silly. She loves to laugh and make people laugh. Ize likes to watch tv. She really likes interactive shows.
Ize is very social and loves going to school and to church so she can learn and see her friends. She gets very enthusiastic about things she likes. She has so much energy.
Ize talks about getting married. The other day she asked me to marry her and said we would live happily ever after. She is also quite independent. She always tells me she can do it herself and doesn't need any help.

We are so blessed to have such an amazing person in our lives. There is never a dull moment when she's around.

For about six months Izebelle has been talking about her birthday. She told me in September that she wanted a 'Tangled' birthday party. We did our best to give her a great birthday party. Her party was on her birthday, February 2. Ize invited 5 friends over. We had sandwiches, sides, desserts, and cake. It was a lot of fun.

How We Rounded Out 2012

Our last post was at the beginning of October, so I'll start around there.

I celebrated my 26th birthday on the 16th. My mom and I took the girls to go see Hotel Transylvania then that night we celebrated with ice cream cake. It was a fun day. 

We had a great Halloween. The girls had a blast. Izebelle was hooked on the idea of being Rapunzel and I quickly sold Kaelie on the idea of being Cinderella. We walked around the neighborhood together, then we went and visited a few friends houses. At the end of the night we had a few scratched knees, four tired bodies, and 21 pounds of candy. Izebelle still talks about going Trick-or-Treating. 

 

I bought these glasses at Target because I thought they would look cute on the girls. I was right.

On November 6th Marty and I got terrific news. We found out that we'll be expecting a boy in March. We are beyond ecstatic. We love our girls so much, but we are truly eager to have a son. He's already measuring about two weeks larger, so I'll be induced around the 15th of March. Its only ten weeks away, but I'm getting impatient. I just can't wait to meet Deen Emerson Easter.

28 1/2 Weeks

On the 11th of November we celebrated Kaelie's 2nd birthday. I cannot believe how fast these past two years went by. Kaelie is talking so much. Way more than Ize was at this age. She talks in a low tone, but can belt out a ear ringing scream when she gets mad. She runs like Kermit the frog and she is constantly eating. She loves to cuddle and do whatever her big sister is doing. I love watching the two of them play together and I can't imagine our lives without her. 

We celebrated her birthday on the 10th. She had a Mickey Mouse themed party and we invited three families with girls around her age over. None of the kids had a meltdown and all the adults were able to visit and enjoy a meal. It was a great party.

For Thanksgiving, we stayed at home. Marty prepared the turkey and did about 90% of the work to cook the 20 pound bird. We worked hard together to prepare everything else and it turned out fantastic. We all enjoyed a hefty meal and a nap.

On December 1st we went to Parker (my hometown) and had family pictures taken by Izebelle's former pre-school teacher. The session was about two hours long and we were exhausted by the end of it, but the pictures turned out great! 

In late November we went to Boulder to see Santa. The large outdoor mall up there let you take your own photos of you with Santa (all the places around here charge $30), they had free carriage rides, and reindeer. The girls loved it. In December we did Christmas crafts and hung up a ton of decorations. We drank our fair share of hot chocolate and made way too many cookies. Ize and I went to her school for her class Christmas party, where she made a very nice gingerbread house. The Christmas season was wonderful. I'm going to miss it, but we made a lot of great memories. 

On Christmas Eve we ate fast food, made cookies, opened a pair of pajamas, hung a special key on the door for Santa, and left him cookies and milk. On Christmas Marty spoiled us. He made us a great pancake breakfast and an amazing roast dinner. After breakfast we opened presents for a hour. After a nap and dinner, we went to visit great grandma and grandma and open a few more presents. It was a really terrific day.

For New Years Eve we went to a friends house and enjoyed great food and adult conversation while the girls ran around and played with the other kids there. Marty and I both actually stayed up until midnight, which is amazing for this old married couple.

Speaking of being an old married couple. Today Marty and I celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary. I can't believe it. The time has flown by. We've had some rough days, but 99% of our marriage has been bliss. I love being married to my best friend!
