Highlights from the past few months

I seriously cannot believe its been a month since I last blogged. Where does the time go?

Oh wait I remember. Its spent driving Ize 15 minutes to school (so an hour total, 4 days a week), breaking up fights, watching in admiration as they sit and lovingly play together, cleaning the house, repairing the house, singing, dancing, reading, cooking, and wasting brain cells watching TV. At least its all accounted for.

So in this post I am going to upload a "few" pictures from the events that have occurred in the past few months (including a few from Christmas).

Ize putting the star on the tree

Yes we do make our kids hold up their gifts and pose. Some traditions just stick

They both got pillow pals. Ize was excited about her Minnie pillow

Kae wasn't excited for Pooh, if you can tell by her face. She just kept pushing it away and still does to this day.

Classic Marty

I made my grandma a scrapbook of her and my grandpa. They were married for over fifty years. He passed away 6 years ago.

My mom got the girls some cool Christmas hats. Kae makes a cute elf.

Man I love Christmas, but I also like when its over because I feel like life calms down a little.

Around the Easter house we like dress up. The girls are always walking around wearing something. Here are a few pics of the craziness that ensues on a daily basis.

Showing off her assets

Yes, the dressing up even follows us to the store

Wearing the Duke hat she got for Christmas

They're such characters. They make me laugh so hard everyday.

Ize recently started preschool. Her first day was January 30th. She absolutely loves it. She goes from 1-3:30. At first it was just her and a little boy, but recently they've been joined by another boy and girl. Its a small class, but its good for them because it means more one on one attention. We already see so much improvement in her speech. Its really a blessing to have this opportunity. It will also be nice next year when she can start going to the one that is across the street from our house.

I like the sequence of looks in these first 3 pictures:

Really Excited

What?!?!?

And now she's lost it

Posing with her messenger bag/ backpack, (I went to the store and they didn't have any backpacks small enough for her so for now she's using mine from college).

Ize loves school. I hope it stays like that through college.

My last post was about Ize's birthday. She had school that day, so we stopped by during snack time and dropped off a treat. Then as soon as school was over we headed to Chuck-E-Cheese for fun and food. We had so much fun with family (my mom, nephew Tristan, and his girlfriend Sadie) and friends (Marty's co-worker Jill, her husband Eric, and their 18 month old daughter Taylor). We had a lot of fun and as soon as it was over and we were ready to go home, the blizzard started (the snow was so bad that Marty's work got cancelled, Woo hoo!)

Little Princess

I love Taylor's face in this picture

I guess getting cake all over you isn't just for first birthdays

I really like both their faces in this picture

Ize usually loves anything Hello Kitty, but for some reason she wasn't feeling it. What a priceless look as she stares the Kitty down

Ize got seven princess dolls. I got them half off during Christmas and now they're back at full price. Score!

Laying on them to keep them from Kaelie.

And when that didn't work she tried sitting on them. Can't you just feel the sisterly love

Me and my birthday girl

It was really a great birthday. She still talks about it and can't wait to go back there.

We're finishing up some home and craft projects. Hopefully they'll be done this week and I can post about them in the next few days.

Also, Marty's brother, Jeff is coming to live with us. He'll be here Friday. We're so excited. We're gonna have so much fun. He'll most likely make a few blog appearances.

Have a great week.
